What's happening to our youth?  is this month's Philosophers' Cafe topic on October 30, 2007 at 7:30 p.m.
Crime and vandalism seem to be flourishing in St. Marys.  Are our teens out of control or merely reacting to situations beyond their control?  We, as a community, can utilize the strengths and skills of our teens to create a youth friendly community and culture. Join a panel of St. Marys residents who work with our youth to discuss this important topic.

Crazy About Craft (posted: Sept. 10, 2007)
 A fun program for parents, caregivers and children (0-6 years old).  Explore, create and design your own masterpiece through various craft activities and materials.  Pre-registration is required Eight Tuesday evenings 6:30 - 7:30 pm  October 2, 2007 through November 20, 2007 .... click here for details.
 Internet and computer training is back again at the Library! (posted: August 8, 2007)
 This Program offers a wide and interesting variety of Internet classes, free of charge for anyone who is interested. Basic Internet classes will start on Tuesday, Aug. 21 at 10:30 am and a basic web based email course on the 22nd. Intermediate and advanced classes as well as different specialized courses covering subjects such as online shopping, where to not go online, finance and security online, and using various different programs on your computer such as word, power point, and windows movie maker, as well as any other course that may be suggested will also be available upon request of anybody for free.  These programs will all be available until end of October. Exclusive classes will also be facilitated for seniors. These courses are a great opportunity for anybody who has ever wanted to learn more about computers and the internet and even people who think they know everything could still benefit. Statistics Canada's E-Pubs Database Now Available from Home
As a result of recent changes to Statistics Canada's departmental publishing policies, access to the Statistics Canada's DSP’s (Depository Services Program) restricted electronic publication collection is now no longer restricted. Home users now have access to the same electronic publications that were once restricted to in-library use only. Some examples include the Canada E-Book, Canadian Social Trends, and Canadian Economic Observer.
